Yesterday Jeremy and I attended the NCHE Homeschool Conference in Winston Salem. This was our first ever conference and book fair. I was not sure what to expect heading into the conference but excited to see what it was all about. I have to say that it was just what I needed! We attended a seminar and walked around the book fair, it was great to get a hands on view of the materials and we even found some great material for the princess that we had not even thought about. It was great to get Dad in on the Homeschool fun.
We had a great day together it was a nice to just get some time together as well. Being a new homeschool mom I have certainly struggled with feeling a bit alone and over whelmed. Feeling like I was the only one out there, but lets just say I am not feeling that way any more. I found such comfort in being there and meeting new people and seeing all the families there with the same heart for homeschool.
I am so excited and ready for fall to role around and get kindergarten started!
