Book Review: Lies Homeschool Moms Believe

I have to say if you homeschool you have to read this book!

We read this as a group with some ladies from our church and it really spoke to my heart. He was right on target with some much that we put on ourselves as homeschool moms and the lies that the devil wants us to believe in order for us to fail. He has a great way of making you see that what you are doing is where God placed you and that your family wont be perfect. His cartoons will leave you in stitches. If you can read it with a group of homeschool moms it enriches the experience, even if you can't it is a must read on your own. Though our own ideas and those of society there is a certain picture that has been painted of what a homeschool family is "supposed" to look like. This is a lie that we have chosen to believe and one that puts unreal amounts of presure on ourselves and on to our children. My Children are not perfect, they disobey, and yes there are days when we don't get out of our pajamas while we do school (like today), we don't live in perfect harmony all the time and I have never worn a jean jumper in my life. (not that there is anything wrong with that if you do) Our homeschool life fits our family and its not perfect but it works. This book really will open your eyes and show you amazing truths about the traps we fall into as homeschool moms! It is available in paper back or for the kindle.
