Living Like Jesus

I have started this new study with the Good Morning Girls, called Living Like Jesus. With a New Year I want so much to draw closer to God daily. Some days it is so much easier than others to jump out of bed and hit the ground running, this winter has had me moving slower and its almost as if it is stealing my joy. It often reminds me that even though the clouds are heavy and it is dark and dreary, the sun is still there above the clouds. Just like God is always with us even when things seem cloudy and dark in our own lives. 

I teach the High school girls at church on Wednesday night, we have been talking about God's sovereignty, how he is in control of our lives and everything that happens around us. I am one who firmly believes that all things happen with a reason good or bad, and I truly believe that God uses those things to shape us, to make us more like Him. To  give us a spirit that makes us Live like Jesus. I wanted to share what I was reading yesterday that made me really think about God's sovereignty, God has promised us a hope and a future, God  promised a savior, He has promised His return, there are so many things that God has promised us as children of God. Oh, how I cling to those promises, especially when the days are dark like these, the promise that soon the sun or Son will appear. Truly believing God's promises and letting them guide your steps in your walk of faith show that God has full control in your life. In this study we are reading of Mary's journey as she carried Jesus, this verse spoke so loudly to me as I sure that it was a life song for Mary during these days of her life. " Luke 1:45 " BLESSED is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her!" Do you believe that God will fulfill His Promises?
