I don't know about where you live but this is certainly not what Spring is looking like around here. It seems like the older I get the less I like how long winter seems to last. Anyway, you can't control the weather so why not make the best of it! As I sit and impatiently wait for the 70 degree weather I am plotting on how to get my house ready for Spring and really for the year. Yes, I am about to use some words that make us cringe all year long (i.e., Spring Cleaning, Organizing, Throwing away, and donating) I have a few rules I try to remember and teach my family at this time of the year:
~It's going to get worse around here before it gets better
~ If you have not used it or worn it in the last 6 months, trash it or donate it....
In some cases 3 months.
~Everyone has a way to help, whether they like it or not
~If mama is on a cleaning roll, just get out of the way!
Fall has always been my favorite time of year but there is just something about Spring, it just reminds me so much of how God refreshes us after our personal winters we face. I love the flowers and the fresh cut grass....I love having the windows open and feeling the breeze, seeing those Carolina blue skies, its beautiful in the spring! So here we go....time to clean and get a move on...I will share lists as I go, think outside the box and clean out things that you don't normally clean (yes, that means the files in the filing cabinets, and under the beds!)
I posted some spring cleaning from last year, check it out as we get started. Find your inspiration and clean out the mess that winter left behind! Also take this as a chance to start a new bible study and refresh your walk with God!
