Newsflash:No Perfection here

So this week I have started on Homeschool planning for the school year that we will be starting in less than a month.  While I would often let my nerves get the best of me thinking of the challenge that lies ahead of us, I actually find myself with so much peace in the situation that God has put our family.  You get such a mixed reaction from family, friends, and others when you tell them that you are going to homeschool.  We have been blessed to have the support our Family and Friends in our decisions to homeschoolEven with the support it doesn’t hide the things people say about homeschooled children or their “opinions.” I know homeschooling isn't for everyone, there is no way I could do it without my Husbands full backing and the support we recieve from family. There is no perfect word set in stone that says we will homeschool until the day they graduate but today this is where we are. Did I ever think in a million years that I would homeschool my kids? Heavens, no.
Homeschooling is something that we have chosen for our family. There are so many schooling options out there today and each of them fit families differently and we have simply chosen what fits our family. We know that different situations and families choose different schooling for their children and how blessed we are that we can decide how to school our kids...this is our families journey with our day to day and our current choice to homeschool.
This week I wanted it to fall fresh on me God’s will for our family….I need God to show me the way, show me how, show me where I need to be. I have been on a scripture search that I want to share with you. I am going to find a way to display these around my house and our homeschool room to help it fall fresh on me every timeIt’s a reminder from God as to why we chose to homeschool and reminds me of what God chose to do with my service for Him.

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way they should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Ephesians 6:4 “And you fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.”

Isaiah 54:13 “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be peace of your children.”

Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

John 15:16 “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”(While I may not have thought this is what I would be doing, God chose me for this.)
II Timothy 1:12 “For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that day.” ( I commit our homeschool to God.)

I Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

I am far from perfect and I certainly don’t have it all together.  I know I will mess up and I will not do everything right;  but I know that God is going to provide what we needAs Phillipians 4:13 reads we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us; therefore He will make all things possible.  I want to be able to stand before God and know that I did everything I was supposed to I want to help  my children find what He wants for them. It would be easier to send them off to school, to let someone else teach them. Yet in my heart I know that God gave them to us to train and to teach, to nurture, and love.  Regardless of your school choices for your children and family, we pray that God blesses everyone with a safe and wonderful school year!  No matter what we know, God will work it together for good, for those who love Him. (Romans 8:28) We are the light of the world and we need to let it shine wherever we are; in every walk of life!  God Bless!
