One of our projects this year was to sponsor a child through compassion, it was important to us that Addie got to choose who to sponsor and she chose a little girl that was close to her age. I made sure that we looked through the list of kids that have been waiting the longest, it broke my heart to see that some had been waiting almost a year for a sponsor. I wish I could sponsor and love on each of them, but for now we are sponsoring this sweet girl from Indonesia.
Addie wrote her a letter already and introduced herself as "My name is addie and I am your new friend." How special this will be when they get older and the chance to share Jesus with this sweet little girl. This is a great opporunity for our children to see outside this bubble that we live in a see that there is a great big world out there, and there are children who are in need. Children their age that doesnt have nearly what they do and show them that we indeed are so blessed. I hope this is a project that you will take on with your children. We can sacrifice a new meals out, or our starbucks to help a child know the Lord, get an education, and have food to eat.
