Along with our letter of the week I usually choose a word to focus on, it becomes a sight word and one that we will work with all week. Last week was "A" and ofcourse I wanted to choose something that went along with a field trip we were taking to pick apples, so our sight word for the week was Apple. We had so much fun learning about the apple, pinterest had some great ideas and some great worksheets, check out my pinterest to find the pins of the worksheets.
We talked about how an apple grows...
We painted with Apples...
And finally we went and picked apples
We got to see the inside of the apple and the seed that God placed in there to let us grow more apples
You can make a unit work for your family customize it to what works best your age children. There are so many ideas out there...We had a blast learning about apples!
